Applications of SC70-06-777 disc separator
This disc stack centrifuge has been designed for the clarification of beverages.
The self-cleaning bowl makes the machine suitable for fully automatic cleaning in place. Opening and closing of the bowl for discharging the solids takes place hydraulically using water.
The feed and discharge are in a closed system. The product feed and discharges in the bowl are hydro hermetically sealed and do not feature mechanical seals. The feed and discharge are rated to suit the respective application. The SC70-06-777 disc centrifuge is driven by a 3-phase AC motor via a low maintenance flat belt. All product-contacting parts are made of stainless steel; the gaskets conform to the requirements of food operations.

Bowl working principle
The product enters the bowl via the inlet and is clarified in the disc stack. Centripetal pump in the SC70-06-777 then conveys the clarified liquid under pressure to outlet, where it is discharged without foam.
The separated solids collect in sediment holding space and are ejected periodically via ports.
Operating water is used only during the actual process of ejection.
Features of SC70-06-777 disc separator
– A fully automatic partial discharge system that allows the separator to discharge solids without interrupting the separation process. This reduces the downtime and maintenance costs of the separator.
– A variable frequency drive (VFD) that allows the operator to adjust the bowl speed according to the feed material characteristics and separation requirements. This optimizes the separation performance and reduces the power consumption of the separator.
– A PLC-based control system that monitors and controls the operation parameters of the separator, such as feed flow rate, bowl speed, discharge frequency, temperature, pressure, and vibration. The control system also provides alarms and protection functions in case of abnormal conditions.
– A belt drive that connects the motor and the bowl shaft, providing a smooth start-up and reducing the mechanical stress on the components.
