RSE300-01-777 Disc Separator of GEA Westfalia; Year: 2000; Production capacity: 1200 T/d; Bowl speed: 4500 rpm; Motor: 55 Kw; Degumming, neutralization, washing

RSE300-01-777 Disc Separator Applications

Continuous degumming, neutralizing, dewaxing, and washing of fatty oils, such as various vegetable oils, lard, tallow, and fish oil.
This RSE300-01-777 disc separator has been designed for use in the edible oil industry. The product is fed into the bowl through a closed-line system with hydro hermetic feed. The light liquid phase (clean oil) is discharged foam free under pressure by a centripetal pump. The heavy liquid phase (soapstock or gums) is discharged by another centripetal pump. The separated solids are collected in the solids holding space and are ejected at preset intervals through ports. Partial and total ejections are possible. The self-cleaning bowl makes the machine suitable for fully automatic cleaning-in-place (CIP).

Operating principles of the RSE300-01-777 Disc Separator

The oil to be separated is fed into the separator bowl from the top through a feeding pipe, and enters the disc stack. The heavy phase and heavy sludge are forced towards the periphery of the bowl, while the light phase flows towards the centre of the bowl, from where it is pumped out for further processing. The heavy phase is led over a top
disc into a chamber where an adjustable paring device pumps it out of the separator. Sludge collects in the sludge space and is discharged intermittently and automatically.
The discharge is achieved by a hydraulic system, which at preset suitable intervals forces the sliding bowl bottom to drop down, thus opening the sludge ports at the bowl periphery. The sludge is collected in the frame, and leaves the centrifuge via a cyclone.

Start-up and shutdown operations

1. Before starting the separator
(1) Check the operating water (softened water) pressure, the dynamic pressure is not less than 2bar, and the static pressure is 3-3.5bar;
(2) Check the compressed air pressure, 4-6bar, no oil or water;
(3) Check the lubricating oil level, which is between 1/2-2/3 of the test and close to the 2/3 position;
(4) Check the inlet and outlet valves, close the feed and water inlet valves, and open the light phase outlet valve;
(5) Turn on the power supply of the separator control cabinet;
2. RSE300-01-777 Disc Separator startup operation
(1) Press the on button to start the separator. The status of the separator is displayed as separator startup. The startup time is 720 seconds. After the startup is completed, there will be two automatic large-scale slag discharges. After the slag discharge program is completed, the operating status of the separator will be from startup. The state changes to standby state, displayed as saparator standby, and the current stabilizes to the normal no-load current;
(2) When the starting speed reaches more than 3000 rpm, start to pay attention to whether the lubricating oil level begins to drop and whether there is oil flowing back in the return pipe;
(3) The idling time of the separator cannot exceed 15 minutes. After reaching the standby state and the current is stable, add hot water to warm up the machine and establish a water seal. During the water inlet process, observe whether there is water coming out of the heavy phase outlet and whether the current is stable. The current drops to normal after rising for a few seconds. If the current continues to rise after water enters, the drum is not sealed. Check whether the main seal of the drum is damaged or whether the sealing water is leaking. Whether the solenoid valve operates normally and the current Under normal conditions, manually press the partial slag discharge button 3-5 times with an interval of at least 1 minute. Check whether the rising current during slag discharge is normal. The current rising value of the partial slag discharge motor is controlled between 10-30A. If it is too small, there is a problem. It may be that the slag discharge is not clean during normal production and the separation disc is clogged;
(4) Close the water inlet valve, open the feed valve and start feeding. After feeding, the light phase outlet pressure is controlled between 1.8-3bar. Press the product button to enter the production program, and adjust the fine tuner centripetal pump trimmer during production. time, this value is an empirical value. Under the condition of ensuring that the heavy phase of the separator does not leak oil and the oil content of the heavy phase soap stock does not exceed the standard, the centripetal pump can be increased as much as possible to ensure the quality of the light phase export product, but in When starting to feed oil, be sure to reduce the length of the centripetal pump and slowly adjust it to the length of normal production according to the actual situation. The adjustment speed should not be too fast, because when the feed is just started, the inside of the separator is clean and there is no oil. Soapstock, directly adjust the centripetal pump to the maximum position for normal production, oil leakage will occur. If oil leakage occurs, a low light phase pressure alarm will appear. After adding hot water to establish a water seal, move the centripetal pump as far as possible. Turn it down, press the product button to enter the production program, feed oil normally, and then slowly increase the centripetal pump to the length of normal production, preferably less than the original length, to prevent oil leakage from happening again;
(5) The interval between slag discharge is 5-15 minutes, and the specific interval is determined according to the actual situation such as the amount of slag discharge, the amount of soap stock, and the viscosity of the soap stock;
(6) Every 1-2 hours, observe the operating current of the separator and make a record; if the current is too high or unstable, check whether the drum is leaking and whether the sealing water is leaking;
(7) During the production process, when the drum leaks because it is not sealed, stop feeding, flush with water, establish the drum seal, and then feed again to form a back pressure and enter the production process. If it is not sealed yet, you can Temporarily shorten the sealing water pulse interval time and extend the pulse instant time, but stop the machine as soon as possible to check the drum seal, otherwise, mechanical damage will occur due to frequent material leakage;
3. RSE300-01-777 Disc Separator shutdown operation
(1) Stop feeding, exit the production program, add hot water to rinse the drum, and discharge slag several times. You can also close all water inlet and feed valves during this period, and perform full slag discharge 1-2 times, with full slag discharge intervals. The time should not be less than 2 minutes. After the full slag discharge is completed, rinse with water and perform several small slag discharges appropriately until the water coming out of the heavy phase outlet is clear;
(2) Close the hot water inlet valve and press the off button to stop the machine. There will be an automatic full discharge of slag during shutdown. After the drum speed drops to 2000 rpm, you can turn off the operating water, compressed air and control cabinet power supply, but it is best to Wait for the drum speed to stop completely before stopping the water, compressed air, and control cabinet power supply;
(3) When the shutdown time exceeds one month, loosen the belt, take out the drum, place it, protect it, and restore it to its original position when waiting for use to prevent the belt from being stressed at the long-term fixed point and breaking after sudden operation, and the drum will grow long. The static pressure of time presses on the vertical shaft, damaging the shock absorption of the vertical shaft bearing seat (bracket).
(4) Replace the lubricating oil in strict accordance with the instructions of the separator. The first oil change time is after 250 hours of operation, the second oil change is after 2000 hours of operation, and then every six months.
